Geico sucks big time….got a quote over internet, was gona save me $200.00 a year. When the paper work arrived that $200.00 savings turned into a $200.00 loss. Will never fall for there bull s%#t again.

my jeep was being driven by my gf jennifer whos on my policy with geico a idiot from wyoming also insued with geico out of the blue attempted to do a illegal u turn and smacked and totalled our jeep and also admitted it to the cops and evryone there, geico comes back and says your liable 25% and the other driver 75% im like omg what deveils ,i today 5 mos later havent gotten a penney out of geico my jeeps 2000 and tow and staorage was 2500 and the adjuster said id get 25 a day for loss of use up to when they finally decided the thing 3 mos later 2000 minus 25% 600 plus 2000(loss of sue) equals 3400 and they still havent given me my money should be 4000 but thanks to geicos cheesey 25% 75% .This guy in a split second banged into our jeeps passenger side front upon attempting to do a illegal u turn in the middle of no wheres and hit her and still did the u turn how in gods name did they find her 25% liable like how in gods name are you going to prevent some dummie from banging into you out of the blue????? geicos a piece of dog c$%p devils from hell

Sue. Sue sue sue. You can do it in small claims, it doesn’t take a class action or a lawyer. Just give it a shot, you have nothing to lose but a couple hours and twenty bucks.

Great story. I also am hounded by Geico mail. I once made the mistake of getting a GEICO quote (which they jacked up 3x after I attempted to buy it) but have never been a customer. I’ve been refusing the mail and having them sent back–my next step will be a Form 1500 prohibitory order. Bye-bye Geico crap.

I am also a hater of all things Geico. I was involved in an accident in February, caused by a client of Geico who was DRUNK!!! It was 5:30pm on a Thursday, and he pulled out in front of ME! I was so naive in thinking that Geico would bend over backwards to try to help me, but that has not been the case. They spent 2 weeks denying fault, then I spent the next 2 months trying to get what my truck was worth. Jarrell Jenkins at Geico only wants to give me the retail trade in value, since they do not acknowledge the NADA value. I held out as long as I could - faxing him well over 20 pages of similar vehicles, which he claimed were all irrelevant - but had to give in because I have had no transportation! Their client was drunk, but I’ve been made to feel like this was my fault! What a Godsend this website is!!!

Geico sucks with a capital “S”. I just got off the phone with them. What a waste of a half hour. Here’s what I just emailed their customer service (like they care):
“I just wasted a half hour speaking with a representative from Geico named jenea. I find it appalling that I am being charged for a service which I clearly opted not to carry, as my Geico representative instructed me was optional. As stated to geico representative jenea today 4/25/09 at approximately 10:00 PST, I returned the form geico sent within the time frame required. At no time was I made aware that geico had not received it until now, almost a year later. When I asked to speak with a supervisor today, jenea said there were none available. I will be blogging about this incident, which will cost both geico far more than the $16.27 they say they I owe them. And I will also be contacting the insurance commissioner and the BBB over this matter. ”
GEICO is not worth doing business with, as is obvious from this and many other blogs will attest to. Everybody having issues with geico should do as I am doing, contact the insurance commissioner and the BBB. Maybe even a class action lawsuit.

If you want to cancel insurance in NYS you are required by law to turn your plates into the DMV. If insurance was canceled with the plates still in circulation the NYS DMV would fine you 8 dollars a day for the first 30 days…and they only increase from there. It can also lead to a suspension of registration and suspension of drivers license. If they had canceled it when you originally wanted to you would of called in upset that you received a letter from the DMV saying you owe them money.
